Enactus is an international organization that connects college students with entrepreneurial-based projects in the U.S. and abroad that empowers people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.
For the past 4 years, our club has worked to provide microloans to aspiring entrepreneurs in the Philippines and Costa Rica who are often on the lowest economic rung in their community. To date we have funded XX business models and have helped to transform the lives of individuals and families that would not be able to secure a traditional business loan.
In light of the ongoing global pandemic caused by COVID-19, our club will not be able to conduct our annual trip to the Philippines to meet and work with our loan recipients. And while we cannot travel abroad this summer, we are still committed to the concept of serving others through different means.
To that end, we are excited about a new partnership with the California Love Drop that will allow us to recognize others who have made a significant impact during the COVID-19 crises here in Orange County. For the past year the California Love Drop has delivered food & care packages to over 100 organizations working on the frontline to serve others. From hospitals and fire stations to shelters and clinics, this amazing organization has helped to recognize organizations and individuals who have tirelessly served our communities here in So. California throughout the pandemic.
Over the next 5 weeks - we are asking you; our friends, families, donors and fellow alums to nominate an organization you believe has made a significant impact during the health crisis. We will then select two worthy organizations to receive care packages and meals from our new friends at the California Love Drop.
